Learned skills: Valeo learned hand to hand combat and various forms of martial arts from Nick Boyle, an ex-Navy seal and co-worker of his half brother Thomas, and swordplay from Matthew Brouwer in his own dimension. Torelan is his first language; his family taught him English. He continues to speak it with a faint accent.

Valeo is the result of the rape of Charlotte Ashcroft by Victor Creed, aka Sabretooth (Hunter in the Shadows). Due to the interference of Jadwin, Charlotte's 'compater' or godfather, and Lorne, a Torelan doctor, she was not aware of his existence until he was approximentally three years old. The Torelan doctor wanted a research subject to test his theories on accelerated aging in Torelan/human hybrids and regarded her pregnancy as a fortuitous happenstance. He removed the embryo from a drugged Charlotte before she returned home to the mansion without her ever knowing she was expecting.

He was raised as a test subject, given food and shelter and treated well enough, but the experimentation left him physically aged to twelve years old by the time he was three. His mutantcy activated at that time and retarded his aging process until he attained the slowed aging apparent in hybrids. By the time he turned four years old, he reached his full adult height and weight, topping out at eighteen years old in appearance.

Not long after his third birthday, Lorne determined the boy was not what he needed and contacted Charlotte to retrieve him if she wished. At this time, Charlotte was ten weeks into an eighteen week pregnancy with Sara and Nicademis. After recovering from the shock, she took him with her and placed him with Thomas while she dealt with her pregnancy and later the newborn babies. He never lived with her at the mansion as she felt it would bring him to the attention of too many enemies and possibly his father, Victor Creed.

While visiting with his mother in San Francisco, they discovered his true power of opening dimensional portals in a confrontation with Creed. At this time, Valeo transported Charlotte and the eighteen month old twins to an alternate universe (Careless Moments). After the confusion was sorted out, the other Logan suggested that she leave Valeo with them to avoid his father and finish his training. Upon discussing it with Val, Charlotte agreed with the idea. Realizing his presence hurt his mother, no matter what she said or how she behaved, Valeo returned to the Careless dimension after delivering his mother and the twins to their own.

He has adapted well in this dimension. Charlotte and her husband, Logan, treat him as another son. After some tense moments with Jess, they've become fast friends. He still goes back to his home dimension to visit his mother frequently.
